Company Experience

J&J Communications Ltd have completed many complex Avaya contact centre and IP telephony migrations, upgrades and Greenfield site installations both in the UK and across Europe. We specialise in multi-site pan European implementations on behalf of business partners, below details some case studies of projects completed to date.


Case Study One – Local Government SIP/Contact Centre Project

J&J Communications were approached in March 2012 by a global systems integrator to provide professional service for a major project that was in flight.

The project scope involved the consolidation of around 300 Avaya Blue legacy sites into a communication manager core at 6.2 with around 15K sip endpoints to be rolled out via 5 Session Managers. The system also had a requirement to consolidate 7 contact centres totalling around 350 agents into the new Avaya core.

Products in scope were Communication Manager, System manager, Session Manager, Modular Messaging, CMS, ACCCM, Audiocodes Gateways and SAL gateways implemented across 2 resilient data centres.

J&J Communications have provided over 300 man days of professional services at Senior Architect/Engineering level as well as end user training. We have been awarded trusted partner status with the systems integrator and are now providing consultancy and services on projects across Europe for major Blue chip clients on their behalf.

Case Study Two– Legal Sector – European Upgrade

In early 2013 we were selected to deliver a pan European Avaya CM6 hardware and software upgrade for a leading global law firm.

J&J provided Project Management and Engineering for the entire European project for a fast emerging UK and Ireland Avaya Business Partner.

We worked closely with our business partner, the client and a major US business partner to ensure large offices in London, Geneva, Frankfurt and Brussels were upgraded seamlessly.

Case Study Two – Testimonial

As of 5:00 PM local time for Brussels, Geneva and Frankfurt we have completed all scheduled tasks successfully. The phone systems in each office have been cut over to the GDC, the user stations have been tested, the Polycoms have been placed and are active and we have tested each office in LSP mode. We have no outstanding issues. 

Great work to all involved. Thanks to the team for putting in long hours and working very hard on this cutover. Completing three offices in one weekend is no small task and this team accomplished it seamlessly.

 

 

Case Study Three - Manufacturing - Pan European Rollout

J&J Communications have delivered four CM6 roll outs across Europe for a US based manufacturing company since October 2011. This is a long term partnership with a vision to standardise the European telephony infrastructure across in excess of 20 x locations.

These roll outs include standard IP Telephony, voicemail and IP DECT in production areas and IP trunking between other European and US offices. We have established a tried and tested project delivery template with this client so that as new locations obtain the budget to migrate to Avaya the engagement and execution process is entered into with confidence.

Again, with this client J&J Communications provide Project Management, Engineering and Training on all projects.

Case Study Four – Wireless Access Points & Night Bell Installation

J&J were engaged at very short notice to assist a large UK Avaya Business Partner to implement and test 15 x Cisco Wireless Access Points and 8 x BT Loud Ring Bells across three floors of prime office space in the heart of London's W1.

The J&J team took control and made it happen.

Case Study Five – Real Estate - CM6 and SIP trunking

J&J Communications has recently completed a successful large CM6 upgrade for a well known International Real Estate company on behalf of one of the leading UK Avaya Business Partners.

The project allowed the customer to relocate their Avaya telephony solution from their London offices to a Data Centre environment and provide telephony services to a new flagship 800 seat office in London's West End, as well as over a dozen other locations across the UK and Europe totalling over 2000 endpoints.

Also in scope was the deployment of Avaya Session Border Controllers to support the introduction of SIP trunks as ISDN and existing sites are replaced, this was delivered in a silent method across both Data Centres (DC's). J&J Communications provided all of the Project Management and Avaya Engineering for this project and also the project management for the upgrade and virtualisation of the Zeacom platform which is core element of this particular customer's infrastructure.

Case Study Six – Technical Floor Walking & Go-Live Support

This engagement was for a large global Bank in one of their large UK Contact Centres. J&J Communications provided a team of technical floor walkers initially for 5 days to support the go-live for the Nortel to Avaya migration as well as providing desktop / Citrix user support in terms of launching and logging into a third party developed soft phone.

Also included in scope was the ability to articulate any issues from Agent to Support within the business. The duration of the work ended up spanning over 5 weeks and 188 man days.

At very short notice, we were able to provide this team made up from a mix of Avaya Skilled Engineers, Trainers and Technical Project Management resources.

Our performance has led to our engagement on another 9 contact centre migrations for this client.
